Fairtrade-Towns in Germany
The borough Berlin Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf had already gained the title “Fairtrade-Town” in September 2011. It renewed the title successfully in 2013.
The borough Berlin-Mitte was succesfully rewarded as “Fairtrade-Town” on 08.10.2014.
The borough Berlin-Pankow applied for the title “Fairtrade-Town” on 12.08.2015. Its application process was successfully finalised on 15.12.2015 after receiving a confirming letter about the positive outcome from TransFair. The official awarding ceremony will be held on 12.01.2016.
The boroughs Treptow-Köpenick, Tempelhof-Schöneberg, Friedrichshain/Kreuzberg, Steglitz-Zehlendorf, Lichtenberg are still on their way to becoming or becoming Fairtrade Boroughs again.

Fairtrade-Towns in Austria
The Austrian city Linz becomes Fairtrade-Town: more than 200 guests participate at the festive ceremony awarding the city of Linz as “Fairtrade Town” on 03.10.2014.
The three Vienese boroughs Wieden, Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus and Alsergrund were supported by Südwind in the Fairtrade-Town process Alsergrund received the title “Fairtrade-Town” in June 2013.

Fairtrade-Towns in the Czech Republic
In the Czech Republic, 5 towns received the award “Fairtrade-Town”:
In the Czech town Hodonín Fairtrade is supported since 2010 and on 06.11.2013 the town officially is the fifth Fairtrade-Town in the Czech Republic.
Since 20.03.2014, the Czech city of Mladá Boleslav is now able to officially call itself a “Fairtrade Town”. In May 2014, the town Třebíč officially gets awarded as “Fairtrade Town”, on 01.10.2014 Chrudim, on 22.04.2015 the town Kroměříž.
Within the project, in the three towns Tišnov, Brno and Velke Pavlovice the process of certifications was initated and accompanied.

Czech Republic: Brochure „Towns in Development”
The Fairtrade-Town manual “Towns in development” serves as an information base for stakeholders representing local authorities, the business sector and the general public. The brochure illustrates a wide range of good practices: e.g. “Urban Agriculture in Cuba”, “Bees in cities”, “vegetable boxes”, “Community houses in Vienna”, giving inspiration and motivation to the target groups to become engaged in sustainable activities.
